Wells Fargo hires managing director for institutional investment division

Published 01 February 2012

Wells Fargo Securities has appointed Geoffrey Keith as the new managing director (MD) for its institutional investment solutions group based in New York.

Keith will report to Rick Silva, MD and head of Institutional Investment Solutions and will be responsible for developing and promoting equity and commodity linked investments for the firm's global institutional client base.

Silva said that Keith's experience in trading, investing, building and running businesses on both the sell-side and buy-side allows him to partner with the firm's global institutional clients to identify and service their equity- and commodity-based investing and risk management needs.

Before joining Wells Fargo, Keith worked at Diamond Notch Asset Management as a senior portfolio manager and was in charge of event-driven and credit opportunity strategies.

Keith also held a number of related positions, including founding Parabolic Partners Capital Management, running US equity derivative trading at Merrill Lynch, and US convertible trading at JPMorgan Chase.
