Northern Trust hires head of Nordic region
Northern Trust has hired Belinda Burgess as head of the Nordic region, replacing Madeleine Senior, who has been named as head of sales for the company's asset servicing business in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
In her new role, Burgess will be responsible for managing the growth and development of Northern Trust's business activities across Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark.
Burgess will report to Penelope Biggs, head of the Institutional Investor Group for EMEA, and will work closely with John Krieg, managing director of Northern Trust's asset management business in EMEA.
Burgess joined Northern Trust in 2005 and was previously a senior executive within the company's global fund services business, where she handled client service for global asset managers, insurance funds and in-house managed pension schemes.
Northern Trust noted that Burgess's business experience will support the Nordic team in meeting the regional requirements of its clients.
Madeleine Senior joined Northern Trust in September 2009 and led the activities in the Nordic region in its new branch office in Stockholm during that period.
In 2011, the Nordic office extended its asset servicing offering to include asset management products and services for clients across the region.
In her new role, Madeleine will report to Wilson Leech, CEO for Northern Trust in EMEA.
